EMOTION DYSREGULATION

Difficulty managing and coping with intense emotions in a healthy way that works, leading to explosive behaviours or numbing of emotions. 

ADHD

A neurodiversity marked by mind-wandering tendencies, inattentiveness and/or hyperactivity.

SELF HARM & SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

Actions taken to deliberately harm yourself or thoughts of ending your own life, often stemming from intense emotional pain and suffering. 

ANXIETY

Therapy Modalities

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

An evidence-based skills focused treatment for emotion dysregulation symptoms. This can include the experience of intense emotions resulting in high verbal conflict, aggression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts/behaviour, low mood, high anxiety, substance use and/or numbing of emotions.
